Registration for The Cross and the Lynching Tree
Join Pastor Jeremy and Pastor Jenn for discussion and study on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. based on the book The Cross and the Lynching Tree by theologian James Cone. Both the cross and the lynching tree represent the worst in human beings and at the same time a thirst for life that refuses to let the worst determine our final meaning. While the lynching tree symbolized black death, the cross symbolizes divine power and God overcoming the power of sin and death. Come together with St. Lukers to have honest and heartfelt conversations about understanding our shared past and pain while dreaming of what comes next.
Once registered, you will receive a link to our weekly Zoom meetings. The link will be a recurring link to use each Thursday.
