Details:

The Society of St. Andrews is a national gleaning organization, harvesting food that would otherwise go to waste and donates it to food banks and food organizations. St. Luke’s sends volunteers the second Saturday of January to harvest fruit from local groves lands and individuals’ backyards. We currently have an opportunity to glean beautiful produce at the SE Produce Council's event on March 9 to pack and load donated food after the show. Please click on "Sign up to Volunteer" below to find out more information.

Experience:

This is an entry-level opportunities and works well for families who wish to serve together. Gleaning takes place on a Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in January.
