Sessions include a presentation by a biblical scholar followed by a question & answer / discussion session with St. Luke’s pastors and other members of the Candler Foundry team. This kicks off each week allowing St. Lukers to preview and engage with the scriptures throughout the week prior to the Sunday Sermon. Classes meet weekly starting at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom. Seeking Shalom with Ryan Bonfiglio – Often translated as “peace,” the biblical notion of shalom encompasses more than just the absence of war and conflict. Shalom is God’s dream for the world. It is a vision of creation redeemed and restored not just through individual faith but through the cultivation of flourishing communities, just societies, and the healing of our social fabric. Join us for this 6-part course that examines how we can seek and embody God’s shalom through the mission of the church and in our collective lives of faith. This 6 week course starts Wednesday, August 17 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the Distance Learning Center (above Founder’s Hall). The cost is $25.

Trace the path of Joseph’s life in the Book of Genesis to observe how God’s sovereignty reigns, even in our darkest moments. Learn to recognize when God is working during periods of waiting, trust God’s plan when life doesn’t make sense, and rest in the sufficiency of His presence in every circumstance. His provision is enough, His presence is constant, and His purpose is unstoppable. (8 sessions)
