Care Visitation Team volunteers (CVTs) are called to be a supportive, loving and healing presence in the lives of others. They are committed to St. Luke's, being partners (members) for at least two to three years and are active in worship and discipleship, deepening their faith in Jesus Christ. This volunteer role will partner with clergy to visit St. Lukers in hospitals, rehab/nursing home facilities and also visit those who are confined to their own homes. In-depth CVT training will be provided by St. Luke's. At these sessions you will learn the important role of a Care Visitation Team volunteer. You will also receive training in the ministry of presence and training in visiting patients in a hospital/rehab/nursing home facility. Experience:

Volunteers must complete an application and meet with Director of Care Ministries and/or Care Visitation Team Coordinator. This volunteer role requires a background check. Attend quarterly meetings with all Care Visitation Team Staff. Must complete all provided training.

Schedule:

Time commitment: approximately 4 - 6 hours per month.
