St. Luke's Care Ministry is now accepting applications through October 17 for the 2022 Stephen Ministry Training Class. Stephen Ministers are lay people who are trained to provide one-to-one care to people experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, relocation, or separation due to military deployment, etc. Because of this important and delicate ministry, it is critical that individuals who serve as Stephen Ministers go through discernment and training. Upon submitting your completed application, you will be scheduled for a meeting time of discernment during the timeframe of October 15 and November 30 with two Stephen Minister leaders. Not everyone is gifted and called to Stephen Ministry. Completing an application does not guarantee a spot in the training class. Please take the spiritual gifts assessment at to learn about your special God given spiritual gifts. If it’s been more than five years since you last took the assessment, we ask that you take it again at this time.

Deadline to apply is October 17. Online training begins on Tuesday, January 11 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Zoom with weekly classes concluding on May 24.
